Jon and Sally warn the heckler not to mess with Nina

The pregnant star said: “I’m treating myself to an ice cream cone shortly but Claire’s prices have gone up to £3.50 for a single cone and its not surprising really when you look at the overall inflation of food and ingredients.

“So overall food inflation, at the moment, shows the latest figure are at 17.3%.”

Viewers then heard ranting from a man passing by.

Nina told viewers: “Excuse us for one moment.”

The man then came on screen and headed towards Nina while chanting “BBC” loudly.

Nina walked away so he wasn’t on screen.

Despite the chaos around her, Nina remained calm and professional.

She said: “What we’re going to do is go to our colleague Elen Davies, she’s been in Lampeter in Wales talking about not only how prices are going up but how there’s a reduction in the choice of food.”

The breakfast show then quickly cut back to the studio where Jon Kay and Sally Nugent were left stunned by what they saw.

In an attempt to make light of the situation, Jon joked: “There is a lot of demand for an ice cream this morning.”

Sally added: “Do you know what don’t mess with our Nina. That’s all I’m going to say. Nina is not alone, she has company with her. She will be absolutely fine.”

Viewers took to social media to praise Nina for her professionalism as her live report descended into unexpected chaos.

One said: “Nina handled that incredibly well #BBCBreakfast.”

Another wrote: “Oh poor Nina, don’t mess with her! @BBCBreakfast #BBCBreakfast.”

A third penned: “#BBCBreakfast well done Nina.”

Earlier this year, Nina announced she was going to have another baby.

The proud mamma hasn’t revealed the exact date of when her baby is due, but we do know the child will arrive in the summer of 2023.

Fans also know Nina is having a little girl, who will be her first daughter.

Nina and her husband Ted are proud parents of two young sons, named Digby and Michael.

BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One from 6am.
