During a segment the pair were talking viewers through the top headlines of the day.
Sally was explaining a story about a content creator who had forked out to have himself advertised on huge billboards in Leeds.
Ed Chapman was hoping to land a date, the presenter told viewers.
Jon, 52, then asked Sally if she had seen the billboard while driving.
She confirmed she had seen the advertisement and then replied to her co-host.
“He says he’s never been on a date and he’d like to go on a date,” she said. “He’s a content creator so I think he’s probably quite creative and knows how to promote things, so that’s what he’s doing.”
“He’s received a string of messages from women aged 18 to 48 and he is arranging his first date,” she added.
However, it appeared the segment had run over time and Jon was forced to interrupt Sally.

“I was going to show you that, but I’ll show you later. We haven’t got time at the moment,” he told the broadcaster.
Looking stunned at the awkward exchange, she replied: “Oh… okay?”
Jon then moved on with the next segment of the show.
