BBC drops first trailer for Noughts and Crosses season 2 – and finally confirms release date

BBC announces a release date and a first look trailer at Noughts and Crosses season two.

Based on the beloved 2001 novel by Malorie Blackman, Noughts & Crosses transports us to a dystopian London where racial and social divides are rife.

Season two will air this April

The award-winning novel gripped viewers when the first series hit our screens last year.

Produced by Mammoth Screen for the BBC, series two will dive viewers straight back into the dangerous, alternate world and promises to bring the iconic, forbidden love story between Sephy and Callum to its epic conclusion.

The first look trailer teased a pursuit to London, a wedding and a declaration to “finish this war.”

Actors Jack Rowan and Masali Baduza will return as Callum and Sephy, now desperately attempting to flee Albion in search of a new life together.

Meanwhile the city they left behind ignites in the wake of Sephy’s ‘kidnap’ and the devastating events of series one.

Strictly Come Dancing star Judi Love will be taking a trip to Malorie Blackman’s dangerous universe for the show’s second season.

Another new face has been announced in the form of Top Boy star Jasmine Jobson, who will slip into the skin of Cara in Noughts and Crosses.

Noughts and Crosses season two will air weekly on BBC One on Tuesday 26 April at 10:40pm and BBC iPlayer.
