Back in February viewers watched as a flash-forward scene showed a dead man’s body lying on the floor in the Queen Vic.
In the frame for the unidentified man’s murder are Sharon Watts, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Suki Pansear and Linda Carter.
But now all eyes are on Denise after a teaser clip show bosses posted to the official EastEnders social media accounts.
It shows Denise sitting at the bar, wearing the same green dress from the flashforward scene.
While sipping her cocktail, a bell can be heard ringing before she smashes the glass in rage.
Just as the glass hits the floor and shatters Denise’s face reappears along with the five other women.
If Denise is the culprit, then the dead man’s body could potentially be Ravi.
Viewers have watched as he tried to seduce Denise into having an affair with him behind Jack Branning’s back.
However, after she ultimately refused his advances, he tried to blackmail her into giving him police intel.
Following the release of the teaser clip featuring Denise, fans are speculating on the storyline.
One wrote: “The first of the 6. Her storyline leading to Christmas day has started. Amazing episode tonight, Diane smashed it, can’t wait for the others.”
A second said: “So Denise targets will be Ravi or Jack..”
“I’m looking out for the clues & just when I think im somewhat close in a flash everything changes,” said a third.
While a fourth remarked: “I wonder if the dead man has ties to the women in the flash foword episode. Though I highly suspect it could be phil.”
EastEnders continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
