The BBC were slammed by viewers for sound problems during the coronation broadcast
Millions tuned in to watch the coronation but were left disappointed with the BBC’s coverage
The monarch made the solemn oath alongside Queen Camilla in a service attended by world leaders, celebs and royals.
But royal enthusiasts were not happy with the BBC’s broadcast quality and slammed it as “terrible”.
One user tweeted: “What is the matter with the sound on BBC! It keeps cutting out! Disgusting! Sort it out!”
Another raged: “Congrats @BBCOne for having sound issues… what a brilliant time to get it wrong! #Coronation.”
A third wrote: “Sound constantly dropping out on the coronation. This is what we pay our licence fee for?
“Switched over to ITV.”
It comes as UK news publishers were able to livestream King Charles’ coronation in a dramatic U-turn after the BBC put a footage blackout in place.
The Beeb was blasted after it “restricted” other media companies‘ access by charging an extortionate amount for clips of the King‘s big day.
Last year the Queen‘s funeral was made widely available to news websites without additional charges.
In a joint statement, the News Media Association, TalkTV, GB News and Local TV, had called for the BBC to reconsider its decision for the good of “the British public”.
The publishers explained the Beeb was charging UK media an “excessive commercial fee”, but international media outlets don’t have to pay a penny for it.
The coronation procession at 1pm kicked off the celebrations in incredible style.
In scenes similar to his mother’s coronation, Charles and Camilla are making the journey back to Buckingham Palace in the 260-year-old Gold State Coach.
There will be a chance to glimpse the royals again at around 2.30pm when they appear in the balcony for a flypast.
It is not yet clear which members of the family are taking part but the Palace has already confirmed Harry and Prince Andrew will have no formal role in the coronation.
Spitfires, Hurricanes and a Lancaster bomber from the Battle of Britain will roar above the crowds in an impressive six-minute display.
The Red Arrows will then turn the sky red, white and blue as they bring the day’s landmark festivities to a close.
The BBC have been contacted for comment.
