RADIO host Kaye Adams called in sick live on air just half an hour before she was due to present her own show.
Adams, 60, appeared on BBC Radio Scotland’s Good Morning Scotland (GMS) to promote her phone-in Mornings programme.

But it quickly became clear the croaky voiced presenter would not be able to continue.
She was replaced on her show by BBC colleagues Lucy Whyte and Laura McGhie.
When she began talking on GMS, her colleagues raised concerns about her voice and told her they thought she was joking.
Adams told them it was her real voice and vowed to carry on with her later show but was unable to take part.
She said: “I’m struggling a little bit today.
“Maybe today I might just do the phone-in and then we might get emergency services in, I think, because it’s failing me.
“I thought it was better than it was but when I got here this morning.
“It’s going to be annoying, I’m sorry.
“I opened my mouth and I had no idea what would come out, which is what I usually do, to be honest.”
Adams, who also hosts Loose Women and has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, went on to explain that the topic of the phone-in was the Scottish government’s drugs policy before she admitted she would unlikely be hosting it
She quipped: “Somebody will be with you at nine o’clock.”
And as she began the phone-in, replacement Whyte said: “She couldn’t speak, the poor soul. I think she was putting on a brave face and thinking she was going to do it today.”
Earlier this week Adams branded claims of backstage feuds between Loose Women stars as ‘nonsense’.
Adams, who first appeared on the lunchtime show in 1999, said: “I do get fed up that almost always we will be asked whether we bitch about each other.
“I’m just waiting for Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker to be asked the same question because they just never are.
“When we are asked about feuds, we think it is funny. It is certainly not a viper’s nest.”
