All-star cast revealed in first look

The BBC has given fans a sneak peek behind the scenes of its upcoming period drama "Miss Austen," featuring a stellar cast that includes Line of Duty star Keeley Hawes. Hawes takes on the role of Cassandra Austen in the film, fresh from her performance in Scoop.

The all-star cast also includes Max Irons as Henry Hobday, Rose Leslie as Isabella Fowle, Mirren Mack as Dinah, Jessica Hynes as Mary Austen, and a lineup of talented actors from popular series such as Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Bridgerton, and Harry Potter.

Reimagining a literary mystery

The four-part drama, adapted by BAFTA-winning writer Andrea Gibb, delves into the mystery of Catherine Austen burning her sister Jane's letters. Set in 1830 after Jane's passing, the story follows Cassandra's quest to protect Jane's legacy, uncovering secrets that challenge her perception of the past.
