BBC viewers all have the same complaint about Michelle Keegan’s new series Ten Pound Poms
Despite being a hit with fans, the BBC show has gained it’s fair share of criticism and in tonight’s episode viewers spotted a huge blunder.
The series follows Brits who headed to Australia for a new life
Michelle Keegan’s character is looking to be reunited with her son Michael
Fans of the show were left unconvinced by the series lead Kate Thorn, played by Michelle Keegan.
Viewers pointed out the unlikelihood of Kate having her own car, as she set on a road trip to locate her estranged son Michael.
One wrote to Twitter: “I doubt that either of those two women would have had cars or been drivers, given their backgrounds.”
A second questioned: “Where did Kate get that car from?”
Another joked of Kate and Annie’s friendship, stating: “Early version of Thelma and Louise there,” as they rode off into the sunset.
Ten Pound Poms brings with it an incredible cast of actors.
Including Michelle, who shot to fame playing Tina in Coronation Street.
After leaving the soap, Michelle won over viewers hearts once more as she starred in military drama Our Girl.
She is joined in the cast by Faye Marsay, who plays Annie Roberts, best known for her roles in Black Mirror and Game Of Thrones.
Meanwhile, her on-screen husband Terry is played by actor Warren Brown, who is known for Hollyoaks and Luther.
Ten Pound Poms follows a group of Brits as they leave post-war Britain in 1965 and embark on a new adventure down under.
For only £10, the group have been promised a better quality of life in Australia.
But while the offer sounds like a dream, the reality is not exactly what they have been promised.
Ten Pound Poms airs on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday nights
In total there are six episodes which will air weekly, with the series concluding on June 18, 2023.
