The celebrated TV host confirmed the return of the 100-episode series on X, formerly Twitter, yesterday.
"The brand-new series of House Of Games starts this week. 100 new episodes coming your way," he wrote before introducing the celebrities for the week.
Fans' Excitement
House of Games fans immediately replied to the tweet to share their delight, with one writing: "Yay! It’s been missed in our house!"
"Excellent! We’d got fed up of the repeats, and stopped recording it. Great to have some new material to watch! Welcome back!" commented another.
Game Format
Every day this week, celebrity contestants test their general knowledge as they take on a series of quiz rounds selected by the host, quiz legend Richard.
The show is played on a weekly basis, with four celebrities playing on five consecutive days to win daily prizes.
Popularity and Recognition
The show’s popularity is evidenced by its ratings and its NTA nomination earlier this year. House of Games was nominated in the Quiz Game Show category.
House of Games airs Monday to Friday at 6pm on BBC Two.
