Bear Grylls’ annual festival racks up £750,000 worth of debt

Bear Grylls' festival in financial trouble

TV presenter Bear Grylls’ annual festival, Gone Wild, has accumulated a debt of £750,000.

Investing in the family event

Bear Grylls and his partners have injected nearly £1 million into Gone Wild Events Ltd, the company managing the finances of the festival.

Expansion and performances

The festival, which started in Devon in 2021, added a Norfolk site this year. Artists like Sam Ryder, McFly, and Reef have graced the stage at the event.

Confidence in the future

Despite the financial challenges, Bear Grylls remains optimistic about the festival's future. He expressed confidence in the business's ability to overcome the debt and even mentioned plans for expansion.

"I did help the team a few years back," he said. "Since then the Gone Wild community has truly risen to the challenge and this year was amazing. We’re back into a positive situation and are set to expand."
