Beauty and the Beast cast: Who stars in the Comic Relief pantomime?

DOWNTON Abbey actress Lily James takes on lead role as Belle in the BBC Two Christmas pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.

Lily James as Belle 



Lily James plays the lead role as Belle

Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson is a 32-year-old English actress and model.

She attended Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and began her acting career in the British television series Just William (2010).

Following her role in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012–2015), Lily had a film breakthrough in the movie Cinderella (2015).

Since her breakthrough, she has gone on to appear in movies such as  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016), Baby Driver (2017), Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018), the musical Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018).

Oliver Chris takes on the role as the Beast

Oliver Graham Chris is a 43-year-old English actor.

He has appeared in Tv shows such as Green Wing (2004), Nathan Barley (2005) and The IT Crowd (2006). 

He also made an appearance in Sharpe: Sharpe’s Challenge (2006).

He was engaged to actress Rachael Stirling, up until 2012, whom he had been dating since 2007.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe as Jacques

Kiell Smith-Bynoe is a 32-year-old British actor.

He is best known for playing one of the leads in the BBC One sitcom Ghosts.

He’s also appeared in the Channel 4 sitcom Stath Lets Flats, Man Like Mobeen, and Enterprice.

In 2020 he joined the cast of the BBC one crime show Death in Paradise.

Sian Gibson as Ma



Sian Gibson takes on the role as MA

Siân Gibson is a 45-year-old Welsh comedy actress and television writer.

She won the 2016 BAFTA TV Award for Best Scripted Comedy and the National Television Award for Best Comedy for her collaboration with Peter Kay, starring in and co-writing the comedy series Peter Kay’s Car Share.

Sian is best known for Car Share (2015), Murder on the Blackpool Express (2017) and Coronation Street (1960).

Susan Indiaba Wokoma is a 33-year-old British actress and writer.

She is best known for her roles as Raquel in the E4/Netflix show Crazyhead and Cynthia in Chewing Gum.

In 2017, she was listed as one of Europe’s Forbes 30 Under 30 and named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit by an international jury.

Celia Diana Savile Imrie is a 69-year-old English actress and author.

She is best known for her film roles in Bridget Jones film series, Calendar Girls (2003), Nanny McPhee (2005), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011), The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) and Malevolent (2018).

In 2006, she won the Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a musical for her performance in Acorn Antiques: The Musical.

Simon Antony Bird is a 37-year-old English actor, comedian and director. 

He is best known for playing Will McKenzie in the E4 comedy series The Inbetweeners.

He has also appeared in the Inbetweeners two films (2011 and 2014), and the Channel 4 comedy series Friday Night Dinner (2011–2020).

Pamela Ferris is a 73-year-old Welsh actress. 

She has starred in a number of TV series, including Connie, The Darling Buds of May, Where the Heart Is, Rosemary & Thyme, and Call the Midwife.

She married actor Roger Frost in 1986 and the pair both live in Elham, Kent.

Thomas Alan Smith Rosenthal is a 33-year-old English actor, comedian, and writer. 

He is best known for his TV roles as Jonny Goodman in Friday Night Dinner (2011–2020) and Marcus Gallo in Plebs (2013–present). 

He has written and performed three stand-up comedy shows: Child of Privilege (2011), благодаря (2013), and Manhood (2019–2020),

Guz Khan as Bonzo



Guz Khan as Bonzo

Ghulam Dustgir “Guz” Khan is a 35-year-old British comedian and impressionist.

He is best known for his work in the TV show Man Like Mobeen and his stand up appearances in Live at the Apollo.

In 2021, Khan appeared on the twelfth series of Taskmaster, where he finished second with 167 points.

He lives with his wife and four children in the West Midlands.

Beauty and the Beast: A Pantomime for Comic Relief will be on BBC two at 9pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021.
