Carol Kirkwood has been missing all week
However, Carol Kirkwood was nowhere to be seen when it came to the weather updates.
Instead, Matt Taylor was in her place as he provided the weather forecasts for the day.
Taking to Twitter, Matt shared a snap of a screen showing the sun rising over the London skyline.
He wrote: “Good morning early risers! I’m back with you on
@BBCBreakfast for the rest of the week.
“Lovely, but fresh start to the day here in London. Will the fine weather last til the Coronation weekend though? I’ll have the details from 6am.”
While BBC Breakfast viewers were missing Carol, they were still pleased to see Matt on their screens.
One wrote: “Morning Matt welcome back to the throne ( seems appropriate this regal week ) can you command some decent weather to ween us in to May ( if not heads May roll ).”
Another added: “Glad to see you, Matt & great we have some sunny weather…. Really hoping it lasts.”
Meanwhile, Carol, 60, suffered an embarrassing blunder as she promoted a job away from the show.
The star has released two books already, and in a Twitter post last week, she revealed details of her third novel.
Carol wrote: “Woohoo! I am thrilled to share the cover of my brand new summer romance #SecretsoftheVillaAmore, arriving July 2023.
“Get ready for sun, sea and scandal on the Amafli coast. Preorder it now!”
However, one of Carol’s fans replied with a screenshot of a sponsored post on Instagram promoting her new book to point out an embarrassing blunder.
They wrote above the grab: “Except the advert on Instagram says this!!!! Cheeky!!!!”
In the picture, Carol’s book cover could be seen, while above it read: “Dear readers, I am thrilled to share the cover of my bra…”
Unfortunately, the rest of the word was cut off and a read more icon was next to it, giving Carol’s fans a bit of a giggle.
Matt Taylor was in her place today and revealed he would be on screen for the rest of the week
