BGT issues statement after host Ant McPartlin suffers fall during live semi-finals show

BRITAIN’S Got Talent were forced to reassure fans that Ant McPartlin was OK after he fell during the live semi-finals last night.

The 47-year-old was rushing to join Diversity on stage when he slipped and took a tumble – right in front of the judges.

The stars were making their grand entrance

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli couldn’t stop laughing.

Dec asked his co-star if he was alright and he replied: “I wet myself and farted at the same time!”

Amanda was also concerned questioning: “Is your coccyx alright?”

Ant was later shown his fall in slow motion and he joked:  “I’m making a claim! That was a very slippy stage.”

Dec added: “You better lawyer up.”

BGT later made sure fans knew he was OK, writing on their Twitter account: “Don’t worry, Ant’s fine!”

Those watching at home rushed to comment on it, with one person writing: “Jeesas Ant, that could have been nasty.

Another said: “That looked SO painful. Hope Ant’s ok.”

And a third commented: “I reckon that hurt more than he could show

Amy Lou, Musa Motha, and Abi Carter-Simpson were last night’s top three.

Musa was crowned the winner and the judges were forced to pick between Amy and Abi, but after a tie in votes – it went down to public vote, meaning Amy went through.
