BGT’s George Sampson looks very different as he lands HUGE role in Los Angeles

BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s child star George Sampson looks very different as he lands a huge role in Los Angeles

The dancer shot to fame on the first series of the ITV talent show back in 2007, but is best known for his stint on the second season the following year.

Ever wondered what Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson looks like now?

He’s starring in the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in Los Angeles

He moved to California for the role

The Warrington-born lad auditioned for BGT 14 years ago and revealed he used money from his own pocket to pay for dance lessons – while busking on the streets.

He performed to Timbaland’s tune Drop and proceeded to the next round but failed to make it to the semi-finals.

A year later he returned to the stage to dance to Bob Sinclair’s Rock This Party in front of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.

It was enough to get him into the next round, where he performed his iconic routine to Singin’ In The Rain.

He won over the hearts of the nation with his amazing skills and got to the final.

George performed exactly the same routine, which ended with him flipping onto his back in the rain.

The youngster beat Signature and Andrew Johnston to the top spot and was crowned the winner.

George, now 29, is still doing what he loves most – performing.

He has moved to Los Angeles and is starring in the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, after wowing audiences in the West End.

He has a substantial role playing school bully Dean Paxton.

Photos taken last night show George flashing a dazzling smile on the red carpet as the musical opened in Hollywood.

He reflected on how far he has come in a sweet post on Instagram, writing: “I used to dance in the rain and the snow on the streets of Manchester/ Liverpool and Warrington, when the money meant I could eat and feed my family at night.

“Back then I knew one day I’d be here. Hollywood theater debut.”

In 2012 George returned to Britain’s Got Talent a year later and performed for the final as the results were announced.

And he returned again two years ago for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, making it to the semi-final.

George has also dabbled in the realm of TV.

He played Kyle Stack in Waterloo Road from 2011 to 2012, and again in 2013.

The dancer also played a character in CBBC’s The Dumping Ground, and Emmerdale in 2016.

He’s also dipped his toes in a bit of reality TV after starring in the fourth series of Celebrity Coach Trip in 2019.

He’s also shown a love for theatre.

In 2012 he played Peter Pan in pantomime, which was later followed by Reecey in Our House (2018).

He’s currently starring in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

George announced some exciting news earlier this month.

He told his 66.8k followers: “I’ll be heading to Los Angeles in January to continue as Dean in @jamiemusical before returning to finish the UK tour

Although the northern lad has a passion for dance, he does have another love in his life – his girlfriend Kazmin Borrer, who plays Vicki in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

He loves to share loved-up snaps of the pair together on his Instagram.

George recently captioned a picture of the pair smooching: “Fave time of year with my fave person.”

The street dancer has been a patron of Dance Aid since 2009.
