Blankety Blank contestant raises eyebrows as he flashes VERY cheeky picture to Bradley Walsh

BLANKETY Blank suffered a momentous TV blunder over the weekend after presenter Karim Zeroual appeared to draw a phallic-shaped symbol on-air.

The iconic BBC programme often contains a number of innuendos, however, rarely does Bradley Walsh’s show contain rude images – but Karim was about to change just that.

Karim’s picture barely resembled a spanner

Blankety Blank is hosted by Bradley Walsh

Bradley asked celebrities that included Karim, comedian Judi Love, former Great British Bake Off host Sue Perkins, The Masked Singer presenter Joel Dommett, Loose Women panelist Gloria Hunniford and actor John Thomson: “What blank would you use to remove an appendix?”

Judi, explained that she was keeping her answer versatile as she affirmed: “Tool,” as the crowd erupted with laughter.

Karim, though, opted for “spanner”, but when he revealed his drawing, it didn’t appear to look anything like the toolbox item.

Looking rather bewildered by the phallic-shaped drawing, Bradley questioned: “Why would you take them out with a spanner?”

The blunder might have appeared to go unnoticed by Bradley, but it certainly wasn’t by one eagle-eyed fan who spotted the error and took to Twitter to air their thoughts.

Sharing the hilarious image of Karim holding up his answer, they wrote: “Sorry Karim, but that definitely DOESN’T look like a spanner on #BlanketyBlank on @BBCOne.”

The popular TV show recently made a momentous comeback earlier this month, with The Chase star announced as the host.

The programme sees celebrities help contestants to fill in the missing words of a sentence, normally with humorous meanings.

Speaking about the opportunity, Bradley said in a statement: “I struggle to remember the last time I laughed as much as when I was filming Blankety Blank.

“So when they asked if I’d be up for doing a series, I jumped at the chance, I’m just so pleased I get to be a part of it.

“I stand on the shoulders of giants like Les Dawson and Sir Terry Wogan but I’m hoping to put my own stamp on the fantastically nostalgic show.”

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot Karim’s error

Blankety Blank will continue to air weekly on BBC One on Saturday at 9pm.
