TOWIE star Bobby Norris recently faced sickening homophobic abuse while traveling through a London Tube station. The 38-year-old reality TV favorite was branded with a vile slur by a fellow passenger while on his way to a meeting in east London. This is not the first time Bobby has been a target of such abuse, as he has openly shared his experiences with homophobia over the years.

Speaking out against hate

Despite developing a thick skin against trolling, Bobby took to Instagram to address the recent incident and thank the individual for reminding him of his sexuality in such a hurtful manner. He emphasized that homophobia still exists and shared his experiences of facing online abuse, including specific death threats, just because of his sexuality. Bobby highlighted the importance of standing up against such hate and expressed his pride in being a gay man.

Advocating for change

In the past, Bobby was joined by friend Michelle Visage in launching a petition to make online homophobia a criminal offense. He emphasized the need to address the issue of online abuse targeting individuals based on their sexuality. Despite the challenges he has faced, Bobby remains outspoken and determined to combat homophobia in all its forms.
