BRITAIN’s Got Talent viewers say they’ve got to the bottom of how young magician Ryland Petty wowed judges with his Harry Potter magic trick.

The nine-year-old was likened to the boy wizard after he pulled off a jaw-dropping move with a set of Rubik Cubes – leaving Simon Cowell speechless.

He roped in Amanda Holden to help but some viewers reckon they’ve worked out his secret

Fans of the ITV show watched as the youngster invited Amanda Holden onto the stage and explained that he had a box full of pieces of paper with different emotions written on it.

Ryland asked her to pick one out and then passed her a Rubik’s Cube to mix up randomly.

As Amanda sat down and got on with the task at hand, Ryland invited his pals from The Magic Circle Young Magicians’ Club to come on stage with their own individual Rubik’s Cubes to do the same.

Ryland then got everyone to put their cubes into a stand and when Amanda revealed the word she’d picked was ‘Love’, he turned it around to show the cubes had created a red heart against a backdrop of white and blue.

Finishing the act with a final flourish, Ryland used his hands to create a plume of smoke on the table and swiped the cloth away to present the word ‘LOVE’ to the audience.

As he bowed to a standing ovation, Simon confessed: “I’m speechless. That was unbelievable, seriously unbelievable,’ the media mogul began.

“What was so weird was we were kidding about Harry Potter movie and then it was like a Harry Potter movie on that stage. That was magic.”

But not everyone was taken in by the young magician, with some viewers certain they knew how he did the trick.

One wrote on Twitter: “Only thing is, what if all those pieces of paper said love on then? #bgt #britainsgottalent.”

Another queried: “Ummmm can we look at the pieces of paper. Do they all say love? #BGT.”

A third wrote: “I’ll bet all the other bits of paper had “love” written on them too. #BGT.”

But others were quick to shout out their praise for Ryland.

“Mind blown…That was awesome!!! Well done by Ryland…#BGT,” said one.

Another added: “Wow I have no word that kid was AMAZING #BGT X.”
