Bruno couldn’t believe his eyes

Before his performance, the 35-year-old, who previously appeared on America’s Got Talent, said: “I want to show the world that the Rubik’s Cube can be very interesting.”

He then went on to solve a Rubik’s cube while he was on fire.

Thomas completed it without getting hurt and secured four yeses – meaning he is through to the next round.

Viewers at home were just as gobsmacked as the jugdes.

One said on Twitter: “Wow that was flaming insane I can’t believe he set himself on fire while doing the Rubik’s cube trick and pulled it off great work that looked so dangerous then ever before.”

Another wrote: “Well done Thomas I was on the edge of my seat when the fire thing happened but I’m so glad you’re okay and that was such an unbelievable audition! :).”

A third chimed in: “Bloody hell! I just couldn’t quite believe he was on fire. I love danger though! #BGT it’s a yes from me.”

“No words,” a fourth simply tweeted.

Meanwhile Bruno fought back the tears at a young contestant’s incredible singing voice.

13-year-old Malakai Bayoh belted out Pie Jesu and left everyone speechless.

As he performed the song, Bruno teared up as he watched on from his seat – and he ended up being Simon’s golden buzzer act.

Earlier on in the episode viewers went wild as the show joined forces with a popular ITV soap Coronation Street.

Ant and Dec, as well as the judges bumped into a number of the show’s characters, including Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment).

Many flocked to Twitter to share the love.

One wrote: “Great start to #BGT loving the coronation street sketch!”

A second said: “That #Corrie sketch was brilliant.”
