Ahead of the new series of Britain’s Got Talent, Bruno – who has joined the panel this year – opened up about his new colleague, and the secrets to his incredible transformation.

The 67-year-old told The Celeb Report’s TV Mag: “Well, he’s lost a lot of weight and he told me has a cook because he has a very special diet and he’s started really taking care of himself because you know he had this terrible accident.

“And when things like that happen, it’s a wake-up call. You reassess things and think: ‘I’d better take care of myself’.

“He’s lost a lot of weight and he’s got a chef that prepares the most delicious little cookies and things that are all healthy stuff – actually, I should have nicked them!

“Basically, if you look after yourself, that’s what happens.”

Bruno has joined BGT after 18 years as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.

But fans of the BBC One show don’t need to worry, as he’ll be bringing his dance moves to Britain’s Got Talent.

When asked if he’d been up on stage to bust a move, he said: “Quite a few times! And I don’t know what they’re going to keep, let me put it that way!”

But he admitted: “I don’t think Simon will dance but something happened and I have to say I was furious – a prank – I didn’t know they do a prank at the end of the auditions, I had no idea, so I thought this whole thing was real, that’s all I’m saying.

“And I was absolutely livid. Livid. I got a real fright, I had no idea. If I had I would have been prepared.”

Unfortunately, Bruno couldn’t elaborate on what the prank entailed, saying: “I can’t tell you! But I’m sure you’re going to see it. There’s some other funny moments, really funny moments.”
