Britain’s Got Talent’s return date confirmed after two years off screen – and it’s sooner than you think

BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s return date has been confirmed after two years off screen – and it’s sooner than you think.

The popular ITV talent show didn’t air in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Britain’s Got Talent will be back on our screens sooner than you think after a two year absence

Auditions took place earlier this year

But after a year’s break, the show will soon be back on our screens bigger and better than ever.

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden will be back on the judging panel, while Ant and Dec will once again host proceedings.

Auditions were filmed earlier this year at various locations around the country.

And now viewers will get to see what talent turned up as the audition stages will begin airing in April.

And unlike the 2020 series, which aired in two parts due to the coronavirus pandemic, the live semi-finals and final should follow straight on after the auditions episodes.

Simon, 62, didn’t take part in the semi-finals of the 2020 series, having had an accident before they were due to start.

Former winner with Diversity – Ashley Banjo – stepped in as a judge for the live shows.

The series was eventually won by comedic pianist Jon Courtenay.

The promo for the new series looks back at some of the auditions that have made the show so great over the past 15 series.

Britain’s Got Talent first aired in 2007 and saw Paul Potts crowned the winner.

Since then, other winners have included George Sampson, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Colin Thackery and Lost Voice Guy.

Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV this spring.
