Britney Spears’ friends and family ‘planned an intervention’ after fearing ‘she could die’ with her ‘volatile’ behavior

BRITNEY Spears has been struggling with her mental health, inciting her friends and family to plan an intervention.

The pop star has raised concerns among fans in her recent social media posts.

But they aren’t the only ones unsettled, as her closest peers have been planning an intervention with Britney, 41, TMZ revealed on Tuesday.

According to the outlet, the singer has caused distress over her recent volatile behavior.

A source close to the star claimed she’s been taking drugs that “hype her up,” which have contributed to her erratic actions of late.

The insider added that Britney has been “flying off the handle” both in public and private, and has stopped taking the medications that help stabilize her mood.

One worried source told TMZ they’re “afraid she’s gonna die.”

The informant revealed that her manager rented a house in LA for several months, where they planned to take unknowing Britney to meet her husband Sam Asghari, an interventionist, and doctors.

The Toxic singer’s sister Jamie Lynn and her two sons were reportedly not a part of the plan.

According to the source, the hope was for the performer to remain at the house for two months to recover through psychological counseling and medical treatments.

The intervention was scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, but changed after Britney became “somewhat aware” of the situation.

The entire idea was scrapped, though the reason why it was canceled has not been revealed.

However, according to sources, Britney did agree to meet with a doctor and had an appointment on Wednesday.

Those close to the Princess of Pop claimed the appointment “went well.”

WORRISOME BEHAVIOR

Britney has raised concerns in recent months with unhinged social media posts and questionable behavior in public.

Just last month, she was seen dining at a restaurant near her home where witnesses on-site claimed she was “acting manic.”

In video footage from the evening shared by TMZ, Britney could be seen babbling incoherently.

FAN CONCERNS

Also in January, deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department rushed to Britney’s home in Thousand Oaks, California to perform a wellness check.

The 41-year-old’s Instagram account was deactivated and she had disappeared, leaving fans worried about her.

But a couple of days later, Britney lashed out at her followers, labeling their calls of concern nothing more than a bad prank.

“As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls,” Britney wrote in a lengthy tweet.

“I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.”

She continued: “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.

“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.

“During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward.

“All the love, B.”

FREE BRITNEY

Britney’s restrictive conservatorship ended in November 2021 after the far-reaching #FreeBritney movement.

The judge in the case did not order a medical examination before ending the conservatorship, despite requiring doctor consultation for the 13 years prior.
