Bruno Tonioli's Return to the Dance Floor

Bruno Tonioli has announced that he will be continuing his role on the US spin-off of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing with the Stars. This news comes as the professional dancer returns for a second series as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

A Tribute to Strictly Come Dancing

Having spent 15 years on Strictly Come Dancing, Bruno Tonioli shared that he was inspired to take on the new challenge on Simon Cowell's talent show after receiving immense support from his former co-stars on Strictly. He mentioned how the late judge Len Goodman, who passed away in April 2023, also played a significant role in encouraging him to continue his journey on the hit American show.

Bruno's Gratitude and Passion

Expressing his gratitude towards his colleagues on Strictly, Bruno mentioned, "They have all been wonderful, Shirley, Craig, Anton, the producers, they’re still my friends, they are so supportive, as I am of them. So are Tess and Claudia." He also shared the impact of a heartfelt email sent by Len Goodman before his passing, emphasizing the deep bond he shares with the Strictly family.

Discussing his decision to step away from Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 due to the demands of judging on Dancing with the Stars, Bruno highlighted the excitement of exploring new opportunities. He described his role on Britain’s Got Talent as allowing him to showcase a different side of himself and expressed his enthusiasm for the creative freedom it offers.

Embracing Change and Unleashing Bruno

As Bruno delves into this new chapter of his career, he mentioned, "I'm still doing the American one, and I'm very passionate about it, but sometimes you have to try something new. It is good doing something different. In a way, the role I played in Strictly is different from what I do here. I'm so grateful to BGT for allowing me to show more of myself. I'm Bruno unleashed now, darling! I can use all my range, it's exciting."
