In June, the producers revealed the cast have reunited as they prepare to shoot new episodes in a social media post.

But in a new update, the star was seen posing outside of her house as she had her leg tied up in bandages and large plasters, although it’s not clear how or what exactly she has injured.

Helen, 39, flashed smile as she had her leg raised on an adjustable cushion whilst she used her steerable knee walker scooter.

The actress donned a tight black dress that was rolled up to her knee, whilst she accessorised the look with a Yves Saint Laurent clutch bag that was hoisted onto her shoulders via a gold chain.

She captioned the photo: “Speedy

.”

And fans were quick to flood the comments section with their well-wishes.

One wrote: “Wishing you an easy and speedy recovery!!!”

A second penned: “Omgosh what have you done ? Sending you lots of love for a speedy recovery

.”

“Oh no! What happened? Speedy recovery!”, commented a third.

Whilst a fourth said: “Ah Helen! Hope you have a speedy recovery!

❤

Meanwhile, a fifth joked: “If we see trixie stuck behind Phyllis’ roladex we’ll know why!.”

And a sixth added: “Get well soon. Loving your new hair

❤
.”

And Giovanna Fletcher, 38, also commented: “Oh no!!!!.”

Helen is best known for playing the character of Senior Nurse Beatrix “Trixie” Franklin in the hit BBC series.

She has starred in the period drama series since it made it’s debut back in 2012.

Call the Midwife fans have been left without their fix since the 12th series came to an end earlier this year.

Series 13 of the show will consist of a Christmas Special followed by eight one-hour long episodes in early 2024.

It will be set in 1969 and more babies are being born in hospital than ever before.
