CANCER-stricken Joe Exotic’s health woes have worsened after all his medical care was canceled amid a Covid outbreak at his prison, The Celeb Report has learned.
Bosses at FMC Fort Worth prison in Texas have ordered a lockdown following a major outbreak of the Delta variant over the weekend – and the Tiger King star fears he will die of the bug if he catches it.
Exotic, 58, was told all tests, medical visits and blood probes were “not happening” – a huge blow for the Tiger King’s fight against prostate cancer.
Doctors fear his cancer has spread to his pelvis and stomach, meaning swift action is needed.
A CAT scan booked for today has also been axed – another setback for Exotic.
Exotic, who already has a weakened immune system aside from his cancer, is terrified he will die should he contract coronavirus.
He told The Celeb Report: “We are like dogs in a shelter waiting for our turn to catch parvo and die.
“All medical treatment has been canceled. We now have Delta Covid in here. We are on lockdown.”
It is the latest cruel twist for the frail reality star, who has no idea when he will next receive medical attention.
The controversial former zoo keeper, made famous for his Netflix series, also raged that US President Joe Biden has let him and thousands of prisoners down across the nation with his lack of care in the pandemic.
Exotic – real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage – revealed to The Celeb Report that he’s waited for months to get care after his prostate cancer was diagnosed, but revealed he will NOT get chemotherapy if the condition has reached Stage 3 or beyond.
Speaking from behind bars he said: “I finally had an appointment with the outside oncologist and hematologist at 9am yesterday (Monday) and at 8.30 am we went into lockdown.
“They pulled some positive inmates out of my unit. With this many guards going home, no mask in the community, and coming back – there is no way to avoid this.
“All of this will slow down an already flawed and slow system for getting a court date and a new trial.”
Close friend and TV Producer Theresa McKeown said she is worried is Exotic’s “vulnerability”.
“He has an immune disorder that not only puts him at such a high risk, but now that they’re on lockdown and he can’t get his medical treatments,” she said.
‘I’M INNOCENT’
“I’m truly concerned about him. I’d like to think that the prison is doing all they can to keep everyone as safe as possible, but it’s still a very precarious place for him to be.
“Joe has survived so many physical challenges over the years – my hope is that he’ll get through this one as well.
“As far as I’m concerned, he doesn’t belong where he is, so this makes the situation all the more egregious.
“But thankfully there is much being done by his legal team to get him out of prison and on with his life.”
Despite his ill health, Exotic is determined to clear his name after being jailed on 17 federal charges for animal abuse and an attempted murder-for-hire plot against nemesis Carole Baskin.
He has always maintained his innocence and Team Tiger, a group of lawyers and supporters, has been working behind the scenes for his release.
And following the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit decision to upheld the reality star’s conviction, he is now due to be resentenced.
However, Exotic’s anger is also aimed at the White House, claiming that the Democrats have not fulfilled election promises.
“Three years now trying to prove I’m innocent,” he raged.
“If I die or get worse waiting for help I want America to vote Biden and Harris out of office cause they bragged how they were gonna fix the prison and justice system.”
In recent months Exotic’s legal team has been assembling evidence to counter his conviction.
His allegations against former friends, business partners and authorities have seen lawyers gather together thousands of documents.
He shared photos of the evidence pile with The Celeb Report which he believes will prove he is an innocent man.
Exotic said: “This is all recordings and videos of the feds making them lie. They had no clue they were being recorded”.
On Monday, The Celeb Report revealed how Exotic gave a heartbreaking emotional plea for help.
His stomach and bladder issues are so severe he vomits when urinating while his Common Variable immunodeficiency (CVID) disorder has flared up.
Despite complaining about his health ten months ago, the 58-year-old claims that he has not even had the full assessments to determine how far along his cancers are developed.
Exotic says an independent consultant suspects his symptoms of excruciating belly and pelvic pain point to the cancer growing.
