Carla Connor Set for Shock this Christmas
Carla Connor, played by Alison King, is in for a heartbreak this Christmas as she faces the repercussions of Stephen Reid's death, which catches up with her husband Peter Barlow. Actor Chris Gascoyne is set to leave the ITV show after more than two decades, leaving viewers wondering how his departure will play out. Spoilers have hinted at a tear-jerking goodbye between Peter and Carla. After their split, Carla announces that she'll be working from home and rushes out into the Street, where she has a chance encounter with a mysterious newcomer.
Unexpected Relative Rocks Up
Carla's life takes an unexpected turn when the mystery newcomer reveals himself to be Bobby, the son of her brother Rob Donovan. Bobby shares a sob story with Carla, but a phone call from Rob sheds light on the truth. Carla agrees to let Bobby stay with her, but only if he follows her rules. The new character is thrilled to be with his aunt, but little do they know that Bobby's arrival is just the beginning of the surprises.
Emotional Bonding and Unanswered Questions
As Carla and Bobby leave the flat, a van pulls up with all of Bobby's possessions, sent by his mother. Carla realizes that Bobby is here to stay, leaving her gutted. Meanwhile, Simon Barlow offers his bedroom to Bobby and decides to stay at his mother's place. Now living under the same roof, Carla and Bobby must find a way to bond. Will they be able to connect? And does Bobby know the truth about his father's involvement in Tina McIntyre's death? Simon, who was close to Tina, is also left to grapple with Bobby's arrival in the Street.
Coronation Street fans can catch all the drama every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
