It featured short sleeves and a cut out neckline which flashed a hint of her décolletage.
The garment got plenty of BBC Breakfast fans talking about Carol on Twitter, with one writing: “Morning Carol, stunning in mauve, your body getting so firm, gym, diet? Both?”
Another added: “Where is your beautiful dress from?”
A third tweeted: “Lovely Dress this morning.”
It isn’t the first time viewers have asked Carol if she has taken on a new fitness regime.
Last week, she presented a show from the Butterfly House at Blenheim Palace.
Carol wore a horizontal striped dress which clung to her curves, prompted a wave of compliments from her BBC Breakfast fans.
