Not looking back
Carol McGiffin, 64, has stirred up old tensions with her former employers at ITV's Loose Women. Officially parting ways with the daytime show last summer due to a contract dispute, Carol has made it clear she has no regrets about leaving. In a recent interview with Woman's Own, she bluntly stated, "I don't regret leaving, I don't fit in there anymore."
Stirring the pot
Carol's departure from Loose Women was not without its drama. In a social media post back in April, she promoted her podcast with a not-so-subtle dig at her former show. With a photo of herself happily podcasting, she mentioned that some people were missing her not for her absence on social media, but for her absence on the show.
Contract disputes and controversy
While initial speculations pointed to Carol's controversial views on coronavirus as the reason for her exit, she later clarified that it was a contractual issue. Describing the negotiations as stressful, she revealed that ITV's contract terms were unreasonable for her, leading to her decision to part ways with the show.
Not holding back
Carol's outspoken nature extends beyond her grievances with Loose Women. In her latest column, she didn't mince her words when discussing former co-star Katie Price. Criticizing Price's frequent relationships and recent legal troubles, Carol described her as "a relationship and marriage addict who has only been single for three months since the age of 17."
