CAROL Vorderman has responded after Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett made a comment some fans said was “creepy”.
He tweeted after she appeared on last night’s Beat The Chasers: “I don’t know what is more impressive about @carolvorders, her intellect or her more tangible assets.”
The remark touched a nerve with some followers with some calling it “inappropriate” and “weird’.
Another tweeted: “Really? This is 2022 not 1972! A bit creepy and sexist.”
But Carol insisted the remark was just banter and thanked The Beast and Beat The Chasers host Bradley Walsh.
She posted The Celeb Report’s story about the remark writing: “Well the Beast and I are having a bit of a laugh over this as he is a good buddy of mine and we always take the mick out of each other.
“All hail the Beast @MarkLabbett and thank you Bradders and the gang for such a great show x.”
She earlier posted a message to him reading: “You beast you…”
Carol, 61, surprised fans by being thrashed on the ITV quiz show when she went up against Chasers Mark, Jenny Ryan and Anne Hegerty.
The Countdown legend, who was stunning in a lacy red gown, looked poised to easily defeat the brainiacs.
However, she hit a run of tricky questions, and ended up losing. However, the show offered her charity £1,000 for her taking part.
Carol froze and knew she had been beaten by the Chasers when she passed on four consecutive questions.
She told Bradley: “I can’t believe that, I cannot believe it. I just hit those four, and I just couldn’t… Oh man.”
But she did impress with her skintight dress, leaving the Chasers team open-mouthed.
Her sensational figure was on full display in the red frock with viewers reacting in their droves on Twitter.
One said it was the night Carol “broke the internet” while another raved: “How can Carol Vorderman manage to sit down in that dress?”
Remarking on the loss, one fan said on Twitter: “Ffs Carol. So close. At least you looked hot tho.”
Another distracted viewer said: “Can’t stop staring at the back of Carol’s super tight dress.”
