But next week viewers will see Jan shocked when she gets a call informing her that Ross is in hospital.
As Jan reconnects with her son, she’s worried when she spots burns on his stomach.
Jan is left feeling conflicted when Ross’s prison guard tells her that her son is a changed man.
Ross insists the burns are from an accident in prison, before making it clear that it’d be better if she leaves as he knows she’s wary about being involved with him.
Later, when Ffion demands to know what’s going on, she’s unsettled when she realises Jan believes Ross might have changed – and reminds her what Ross put her through.
Later, Jan confronts Ross about his injuries and he admits he’s being threatened by a prison gang who discovered he was serving a sentence for drug dealing.
Ross then tells Jan that the gang knows his mum is a paramedic and the penny finally drops as she realises he wants her to steal medication for him.
After Jan makes a decision about what to do, Ross knocks himself unconscious on the wall to avoid going back to prison.
As Ross recovers from a head injury, Jan realises what she has to do to protect her son.
Will she risk everything by agreeing to help him?
Meanwhile, Faith and Lev try to move forward with their fragile marriage.
Dylan tells Faith if things don’t work out with her husband, he’ll wait for her.
Later, Les overhears Dylan booking a viewing for a place big enough for Faith and the kids and confronts him in the ED in front of everyone.
Faith breaks up the argument and, though she’s baffled by Dylan’s house viewing, she orders Lev to apologise.
