After just eight months in the role, Casualty actor Nigel Harman has announced that he is leaving the popular BBC soap. Harman, who joined the cast as Max Cristie in February, revealed the news over the weekend.

Harman confirmed that he has already filmed his final scenes, which are set to air next year. However, he stated that there are currently no plans for him to return to Casualty in the near future.

As an armchair fan of the show, I have watched in awe as people have twirled and gyrated across the screen. And now it’s my turn… gulp!" He added, "In my mind, I think I’m a better dancer than my body is telling me."
