CATHERINE Tyldesley wants to return to Coronation Street as Eva Price almost three years after quitting the show.
The actress left the ITV drama after a seven year stint, filming her final scenes in 2018.
But when reminiscing about her biggest role she admitted she sees a future for Eva on the Cobbles.
Speaking to hosts Gethin Jones and Kym Marsh, who played Michelle Connor on Corrie, on Morning Live today Catherine, 36, said: “I am sure Kym will say the same, it’s like a second home for us because we’ve both been there for such a long time.
“I’ll always miss it and it will always be a second home.
“It’s just a wonderful place and wonderful people to work with … It’s brilliant… Hopefully one day I might revisit the cobbles…”
In March 2018 The Celeb Report revealed that Catherine was looking to play more hard-hitting roles.
She was pictured crying on set and was comforted by her co-stars as she filmed her final scenes following Aidan’s shocking and heartbreaking suicide.
But show bosses left the door open for her return by refusing to kill off her character.
Cath previously vowed to use her time away from Weatherfield to spend more time with the pair and to go travelling.
She told the Manchester Evening News: “The timing seemed right. My son Alfie doesn’t start at school for another two years so as a family we wanted the chance to travel.
She will be seen next in upcoming ITV drama Viewpoint and looks a world away from Cobbles barmaid Eva.
This gripping five-part drama follows a tense police surveillance investigation into a tight knit Manchester community and explores whether it is ever possible to observe the lives of others with true objectivity and zero effect.
Noel Clarke plays surveillance detective DC Martin Young, who sets up his observation post in the home of single mum and secret voyeur, Zoe Sterling, played by Alexandra Roach.
Joining the cast with Catherine are Bronagh Waugh (The Fall, Unforgotten), Sarah Niles (Trust Me, Catastrophe) and Shannon Murray (Get Even, EastEnders).
