CBBC star looks unrecognisable 16 years on from launch of hit kids’ show

THE former CBBC presenter looks nothing like her character kids in the 00s would know – over a decade ago when the show first aired.

The children’s TV programme launched 16 years ago and entertained British kids with fun and interesting science experiments.

But now that fun loveable scientist is worlds away from her days performing cool experiments for kids on TV.

The actress, Katrina Bryan looks unrecognisable in her latest Instagram snap – as she’s swapped her famous hair bunches for a more edgy short alt cut.

Posing in a pair of black sunglasses, the kids actress looked drastically different from her appearance on the classic CBBC show.

She’s coloured her chocolate brown hair a tinted red gingery shade, and she’s not wearing her distinctive bright blue eyeshadow from the show.

Instead, Katrina appears to be going for a more natural look these days, with little or no makeup.

Most recently she portrayed Eloise on Emmerdale, Dawn Taylor’s social worker in 2020, when she was fighting to reclaim custody of her son Lucas.

In addition, Katrina has appeared in a number of television shows. She played pathologist Ellis Sinclair on Taggart.

Bryan graduated with a BA in acting from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

She made an appearance in an Irn-Bru commercial, naming her child “Fanny”, much to the dismay of the child’s father.
