VIEWERS of The Great British Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer were left in hysterics as a star’s cake collapses in chaotic scenes.
Fans of the TV show took to Twitter after Lucy Beaumont’s bake was left in ruins and falling off its stand in the middle of the show.
Lucy had a total disaster with her cake
The chocolate cake completely fell apart
Comedian Lucy, 39, attempted to make a three-layer chocolate cake as part of her showstopper for the final round of the show.
The star – who is married to 8 Out Of 10 Cats star Jon Richardson – planned to decorate the cake with small fondant figurines.
She told show hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Smith: “I would really like to go to an all-you-can-eat carvery with Idris Elba and Tom Hardy.
“Then halfway through eating, I’ll take my bra off because if you take your bra off then you can eat more.”
However, despite her high hopes for the bake – things started to go wrong after the three chocolate cakes came out of the oven.
The trio of sponges appeared to be baked on the outside, but after taking them out of the tin, they started to crumble.
“You take one side of your cake, and then you take the other side of your cake,” Lucy told the cameras as they began to fall apart.
“Oh, god. I think I’m actually going to cry.”
Despite trying to hold them together with her hands, they completely fell apart, as she shook her head.
“Oh, god, it’s all gone wrong,” she added, before trying to come up with a new idea to make the cake presentable.
“I don’t think I let the cake cool enough, is it took late to change my theme?”
However, as she did her best to try to fix the situation, fans of the programme took to Twitter to laugh about the disaster.
“Lucy should be on every week!” one said, as another chimed in: “Apocalyptic scenes in the Bake Off Tent courtesy of Lucy Beaumont!”
“What the actual f**k is Lucy doing,” a third said, as a fourth added: “OMG what has Lucy made?!”
“Lucy has made a mud mountain,” a fifth added alongside a series of laughing faces, while a sixth said: “Lucy, the worst baker ever.”
“Lucy’s cake is pretty much the state of my life!” a seventh concluded.
It comes after Adele Roberts stunned her fans with a cancer update while competing on the celebrity Bake Off special.
The broadcaster told fans that she had been receiving chemotherapy treatment while taking part in the Channel 4 show.
