CELEBRITY Gogglebox star Rylan Clark has fired back at fans who accused him of being “mean” to his mum.
A handful of viewers of the Channel 4 series called out the X Factor contestant’s conduct towards Linda after a conversation about “chicken sushi.”

One took to Twitter to rage the scenes were “uncomfortable to watch.”
They played out as Linda struggled to pronounce the word “sushi”, instead saying a word that sounded more like “sachet.”
She struggled so much she refused to say the word again, before playfully telling Rylan, 33, to “p*** off.”
Although the scenes were light-hearted, one fan wrote: “Rylan is so mean to his mum on #celebritygogglebox it’s so uncomfortable to watch.”
Another put: “Can’t stand how @Rylan speaks to his mum on #CelebrityGogglebox So unpleasant 
.”
This prompted the Radio 2 DJ to take to his own Twitter to write: “For anyone saying I’m horrible to mum please get a sense of humour, she got her sushi….
“Also built her a house, whatever she asks for, and a new hedge trimmer this week….. she’s good.
“Look after your mums, and also have a laugh with them x until next year x”
Many fans backed the star, with one gushing: “The way @Rylan looks at his Mum,” as another commented: “Just love the relationship between @Rylan & his mum Linda. He’s so good to her 
“They need their own show!”
Earlier this week, Rylan left fans devastated after he revealed major news about himself and Linda.
He took to social media to share a snap with his mum and co-star Linda, along with the entirety of the Channel 4 crew.
Rylan, who leaves fans in stitches with his witty banter with his mum, added the caption: “And just like that Team Blue from Channel 4 Gogglebox finished.
“Thanks for an amazing time xxx.”
Fans took the farewell message to indicate the pair had called time on Celebrity Gogglebox for good this season.
One wailed in the comments: “Noooo! Aw b****y hell…how long do I have to wait till you guys are back on the box together? #rylanforpm 
”
