CELEBRITY MasterChef has been forced to make a big change to the judging process because of Covid rules.
But judge Gregg Wallace isn’t worried, in fact he’s delighted he’ll get his own plate to eat instead of sharing food with John Torode.
“No more plate-sharing was just brilliant,” he told the Radio Times.
“MasterChef is now as mainstream as the shipping forecast on Radio 4, but all I care about is having my own plate of food.”
Other Covid measures meant the celebrity contestants were not allowed to socialise after the show.
But Strictly professional dancer Johannes Radebe still managed to teach Love Islander Kem Cetinay how to dance during filming.
“Kem kept saying, ‘I want to know how to shake my hips like that!’,” Johannes said.
“He found it very sexy. It’s so lovely for men to know how to move properly on the dancefloor.”
Meanwhile, Su Pollard suffers a disaster when she over spices her dish.
“The judges’ heads must have blown off,” she said.
“Although to be honest they were distracted by telling Bez [from the Happy Mondays] off about his messy work station.”
Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One on Monday at 9pm with a new batch of celebs causing chaos in the kitchen.
The high energy promo shows Katie Price leaving judge Gregg clutching his head in exasperation in a trailer for the new series.
Former EastEnders star Joe Swash is shown looking crestfallen asking Gregg: “Are you disappointed by my dumplings?”
Another former soap star Rita Simmons, 44, is shown whooping while Towie’s Megan McKenna, 28, grins saying: “I’m actually buzzing.”
Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent comedian Nabil Abdulrashid, 35, looks devastated at the verdict he got for one of his dishes, saying: “That’s very sad.”
Corrie and EastEnders’ Michelle Collins, 59, also looks pretty pleased with herself, while Loose Women panellist and cop Penny Lancaster, 50, is seen pumping her first.
Other stars on the show include comedy actress Su Pollard, 71, journalist Gavin Esler, 68, and footballer Dion Dublin, 52, who looks equally panicked while trying to cook.
Blue star Duncan James, comedian Munya Chawawa, star of Michael Dapaah’s hit show Belly Must Go with Maya Jama are also appearing.
As usual, Gregg and John Torode are in charge, while guest chefs including This Morning’s Nisha Katona will be judging the stars’ talents.
