CELEBRITY SAS: Who Dares Wins’ head soldier Ant Middleton revealed his most nail-biting mission yet as stars were set alight after being covered in petrol.
The gritty reality series, currently airing in Australia, escalated a notch with the latest hell-raising challenge.
Ant grilled the Channel 7 stars before boldly exclaiming: “You will be set on fire!”
The subsequent scenes saw the Celebrity SAS head honcho throw petrol over the terrified recruits before lighting them with a match.
They were then forced to dab out the flames, with many choosing to run to a nearby river.
Yet their turmoil was not over as the temperature cooled, with the stars told they could only change into fresh, warm clothing if they stripped naked on the spot.
This led to Australian filmmaker Pauly Fench letting go of his inhibitions and revealing all.
Ant, impressed by his candid nature, branded him a “clearly confident individual” who “requires no helmet.”
The former military man showed no let-up when it came to his angry attitude to contestants in the Australian version.
After Bachelor star Locky Gilbert revealed his reality TV show career, he was immediately met with the remark: “Oh, you’re one of them f**ks, are you?”
Locky previously boasted that he was an “adventure man” – yet the latest challenge will have strongly tested that claim.
He added that “fame and notoriety is what some people live for” and he “doesn’t hide it.”
‘MOST DANGEROUS SHOW’
SAS: Who Dares Wins and its celebrity spin-off have been hailed the “most dangerous” shows ever.
The extreme challenges the UK contestants have faced in SAS: Who Dares Wins include jumping backwards into freezing water, crawling across canyons on a tightrope and one-on-one wrestling.
Towie’s Pete Wicks, 33, has quit the latest series after breaking a rib – while fellow recruit, Love Island star and fitness fanatic Amber Gill, 24, also walked out after just 48 hours.
BBC presenter Ore Oduba, 34, left his fellow contestants horrified when he passed out in a river during filming and was unresponsive for half a minute.
Meanwhile Loose Women star Saira Khan – who took part in the 2021 series – said she was left with “life-changing” injuries afterwards.
Her agonising mishap happened while taking part in a mud wrestling challenge with fellow recruit Ulrika Jonsson.
