CELEBS Go Dating star Liam Reardon revealed that he broke up with ex Millie Court leaving her devastated.
The Welsh star – who is currently looking for love in the E4 dating show – said he called time on their relationship because he wanted to work on himself as he struggled to juggle a relationship, a career and his newfound fame.
Liam Reardon revealed he broke up with Millie Court
The Welsh lad said he instigated the split to focus on his own growth
During an emotional chat with the experts, Liam, 23, confessed that he instigated the break-up to gain clarity on his life, saying he had to learn to “love himself” before he could love Millie, 24.
Love guru Anna Williamson quizzed Liam on his Love Island journey, to which he replied: “In the villa everything was stripped back, you’ve just got each other, and I fell in love with Millie, and we just went from strength-to-strength.”
Paul then then keen to know what went wrong in the relationship.
Liam explained: “I moved straight from Wales to Essex to be with Millie, leaving all my family and friends.
“The life I did have is almost not there. It’s been a rollercoaster, I went from a small life in Wales, being a bricklayer – to being catapulted into this new life and I found it difficult.
“You’re trying to give 100 per cent to each other, you’re trying to give 100 per cent to yourself, you’re trying to give 100 per cent to this new life and career and it’s hard to juggle everything at once.”
Getting to the nitty gritty, Paul asked who broke who with who, to which Liam replied: “I instigated it because if we want to be together, I want to be 100 per cent together.
“For me to love her, I need to love myself and for the past few months I need to find myself a bit again.
“Just never say never, in the future we could rekindle.”
Relationship expert Anna then asked what Mille’s response was to the relationship ending.
A deflated Liam added: “Yeah, upset…upset. Like I was.
“You know it’s one of those things, you’ve had such an amazing experience together and you don’t want it to end, it’s a tricky one.”
It comes after Liam praised Millie as an “incredible girlfriend” and is still very much in contact with the influencer.
Discussing their split, the Welsh hunk said the timing wasn’t right but admitted he doesn’t know what the future will hold in terms of a reconciliation.
Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report, Liam said: “Millie’s great, I only have good things to say about her.
“I went off track a little bit so had to steer myself back on track.
“Me and Millie are still friends, we still speak.”
Despite a few bumps in the road in the villa, the couple stole the nation’s hearts on the ITV2 dating show and went onto win the series.
It therefore surprised fans when they called it quits earlier this year and revealed they were moving out of their shared £1m Essex home.
So, when asked if the pair could ever reconciliate in the future, Liam said the door is still left open.
He told us at the Celebs Go Dating launch night: “I don’t know, you don’t know what will happen in the future.
“All I know she is a lovely person; she makes a great girlfriend, but our timing right now wasn’t right for us.
“So, who knows what’s going to happen in the future.”
He continued: “I was in two minds about going on the show, I came off the back of a break-up.
“I was hurt and I’m still dealing with it now. But Anna and Paul helped me put that to one side and concentrate on myself.”
Liam said fans will be surprised as they see a more vulnerable side to him on the E4 show.
He said: “I was surprised how much Anna and Paul delve into you, because they want to see your personal growth as well, I didn’t expect.
“It was a bit of a shock and an eye opener.
“There was at times where I was vulnerable and got emotional as I don’t talk about my feelings much, it was difficult.”
