Love Island’s Liam Reardon said he gets on very well with the blonde beauty
The Love Island hunk and the Geordie Shore beauty revealed that they enjoy having “flirty banter”, with the blonde bombshell describing her fellow co-star as “sexy”.
Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report at the Celebs Go Dating launch party, Bethan said: “With me and Liam, he is a good-looking lad, I do fancy him, he’s very sexy but I think we’re just friends, aren’t we?”
Liam said: “We get on very well,” with Bethan adding: “We do, we get on very well.”
When asked if there would ever be anything romantic in the future, the pair paused and laughed, with Bethan replying: “Give us a couple of Proseccos.”
The Newcastle beauty continued: I’m celibate, I’m looking for something that’s really going to spark my soul.
“With me and Liam it would be too casual, he doesn’t text back.”
Liam explained: “We get on like a house on fire,” he laughed: “I don’t know what the f*** to say, we’re good friends, I’m glad I’ve met Bethan as well as everyone else.”
“We have flirty banter, but I feel like everyone is quite incestuous,” Bethan told us.
“We knew people watching will think we would get together, we’re just very awkward people.”
Despite admitting that they have chemistry, the pair said that their relationship is purely platonic.
Liam continued: ” I think all the contestants are very attractive.
“Me and Bethan do get on well, we understand each other.
“But nothing has happened, we’re just good friends.
“You know what it’s like, if you’re good friends people think you must be having sex but it’s not true, people of the opposite sex can be friends.”
Liam – who split from Love Island co-star Millie Court earlier this year – said fans will be surprised as they see a more vulnerable side to him on the E4 show.
He said: “I was surprised how much Anna and Paul delve into you, because they want to see your personal growth as well, I didn’t expect.
“It was a bit of a shock and an eye opener.
“There was at times where I was vulnerable and got emotional as I don’t talk about my feelings much, it was difficult.”
Liam said viewers will see him open up about his latest relationship with ex Millie, he continued: “You see little bits about, but I didn’t go into it too much as I wanted to respect Milly, but it was going to come up at some point and we did speak about it a little.”
Meanwhile, Bethan said the experience was like “therapy” and said she “picked up tips on how to be a better person”.
“It was more about seeing where I am in life, the hardest part for me was looking back on past traumas and past relationships and come to terms with moving on from that pain and hurt.
“I cried all the time, streams and rivers and a sea of tears.”
