Several said the sickening scenes – dubbed worse than I’m A Celeb‘s bushtucker trials – left them reaching for the off button.
One wrote: “I’m not even looking! But my husband is screaming.”
Another said: “This pet food challenge may just be the singular grimmest thing I’ve ever seen on TV.”
Some said they the scenes left them queasy – with one writing: “No this is making me feel physically sick” while another posted: “I feel sick just watching this.”
One other wrote, referring to the Channel 4 series’ host: “I love Greg James but I don’t love him enough to watch people eating dog food, I’m sorry.”
Rise And Fall sees a group split into two camps – the Rulers, who live in luxury, and the Grafters, who are stuck on basic diets in the basement.
The people are the bottom are required to do tasks to win money for the people upstairs – doing so in the hope that one day they will be at the top themselves.
Tuesday’s episode saw the Grafters perched along the edge of a conveyor belt and told to clear each plate before it got to the end.
Builder Jack and care home worker Connor both struggled to keep the doggy dinners down.
Meanwhile, employment coach James was stationed at the end of the line and had to make sure each plate was clear.
It was up to the Rulers how many rounds the Grafters were made to endure.
Several remarked that as the series wears on the people at the top are becoming increasingly ruthless and uncaring to the workers.
One wrote: “God they’re all being so savage all of a sudden maybe I am enjoying this after all.”
