CHARLOTTE Crosby broke down in tears today after being overwhelmed with support by fans following Channel 5’s “insensitive” programme about her face.
The reality star, 30, took to her Instagram story to explain what a positive impact the outpouring of love has had on her.
It came after the controversial TV programme took a deep dive into Charlotte’s changing appearance over the years without her consent.
She said: “Hi everyone. I thought that I’d come on here, because honestly – this is no word of a lie – my phone almost exploded yesterday.
“I was getting so many messages, so much support. I actually can’t quite believe how amazing and kind and incredible everyone has been.
“It just shows us how the world is actually changing. People just won’t stand for this treatment or bullying or behaviour anymore. It’s just not cool.”
She reassured her followers the tears were not because of the questionable show’s content.
“Honest, I’m so strong, and I’m sitting here crying now,” she said. “But I’m not crying about the negative things, I’m crying about the support.
“I’m crying about how many people have been so kind. I just want to say thank you because you’ve actually made us feel like I’ve got a self-worth. Like I’m worth something. That’s how all of this support has made us feel.”
The former Geordie Shore star revealed at first she thought the programme was justified because she had undergone cosmetic procedures.
But thanks to her agent, her attitude shifted and with it she gained a newfound respect for herself.
She explained: “You do feel like you kind of deserve it. You’ve got so little self-worth, when I get troll comments I just think ‘Oh well, what can I expect? I deserve this. I put myself in the public eye. If people have got an opinion, they’ve got an opinion.’
“All week I told myself ‘it’s fine, it’s fine. I’ve had my lips done, I brought it all on myself.’
“That’s how little self worth you have. That’s how you become so strong. ‘I’ve done this to myself, I deserve it.’ That’s honestly how you start feeling.
“To the point I wouldn’t have even made a big deal about it if it wasn’t for my amazing agent who was like ‘it’s so wrong’ and then I was like ‘it actually is so wrong.'”

There has been public uproar after it claimed she spent £20k to get a ‘plastic face’.
Charlotte wasn’t prepared for the programme, which didn’t hold back as a panel of surgeons commented on Charlotte’s “cookie cutter” and “plastic” face.
After the show aired, Charlotte took to Twitter to express her shock and upset, declaring that “enough is enough”.
In an impassioned post, she wrote: “I cannot quite believe I am saying this but here goes. Last night, Channel 5 & Crackit Productions put out a one-hour documentary called ‘Celebrities – What Happened To Your Face – Charlotte Crosby.
“In 2021 a main UK channel & production company believed it would be a good use of airtime to dissect my physical appearance.
“I have seen how many of you saw it, switched off & complained – many not even “fans” of me, just good people who know right from wrong. Thank you for that, and for your messages of love and support.”
The star, who rose to fame on MTV ten years ago, continued: “I am aware I have put myself and my face in the public eye. TV and broadcasting has given me and my family a life we could never have dreamed of.
“I enjoy it, am enormously grateful for it and many of my respected closest friends work within the industry.”
She went on to explain that her representatives tried to put a stop to the show when it was first commissioned, but to no avail.
“Dealing with trolls is one thing, you ignore, you block,” she said. “BUT where are we as a society when the trolls are the mainstream TV channels? Will they now take responsibility for my dip in mental health and my plummeted self-esteem?”
She added: “When is enough enough?Just because we’re in the public eye, doesn’t mean we aren’t human. Fortunately I’m strong enough to deal with it but many aren’t!”
Charlotte’s fans and friends rushed to defend her after it aired, including her co-star Holly Hagan, who urged people to complain to Ofcom.
In the programme Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai looked at pictures of Charlotte from 2018 and said: “She’s getting to visible signs of having fillers. Good jobs are not visible, bad jobs are extremely visible.
“You can see her lips are too full, the apple of her cheek is too big, almost like a golf ball. That’s looking slightly unreal.”
Of the star’s most recent snaps, Dr Joshua Van Der Aa reflected: “In my professional opinion I think she looks better and more herself before she had all this done.
“They’ve taken a bit of what we call a cookie cutter approach to filling her face where they don’t respect the natural anatomy.”
He added: “I wouldn’t advise that she continues filling because it’s going to age her face.”
Charlotte recently told fans she was glad she got rid of the “hook” in her nose as she shared before and after pictures of her cosmetic surgery.
The star had her first nose job back in 2016 after becoming self conscious on the MTV show.
She also has lip filler to keep her pout looking full.
