CHRIS Packham has issued a bleak warning to fans after his latest BBC series comes to an end.
The Springwatch favourite has been fronting the BBC‘s latest show about the planet – titled Earth.
Chris has issued a warning to fans
It came as his show Earth drew to a close
In the programme, a number of different factors which have had effects on Earth are examined as well as the long-term problems that the planet has sustained.
As the show came to a close, the latest episode looked at everything to do with humans and their behaviour on the environment and the world.
It led show star Chris to dish up a very bleak warning about the future as he shared a clip from the show to his Instagram page.
Chris wrote: “In the very near future our species will need to reach the zenith of its achievements, and all humanity will have to learn to put our Earth first.”
He then added a rather severe outlook, as he warned: “If we don’t, life on this planet will continue – but there will be no encore for humanity.”
Chris’ fans and followers were quick to praise the star over the documentary as they thanked him for bringing many issues to light.
One said: “Thank you so much for this amazing series. I so hope the people who need to watch it did. Thank you so much for the incredible work you do.”
Another added: “Incredible, fascinating, beautiful. That last piece to camera said it all, a shockingly simple message delivered with emotion and intelligence.”
As a third wrote: “Absolutely amazing documentary and really opened my eyes to how precious our world is.”
The TV star recently opened up about his personal life away from the cameras as he got candid over some of the challenges he has faced in his life.
Chris, 62, said to The Big Issue: “I trashed so many potentially great relationships because of my autism.
“I just didn’t know what was going on – I found it very difficult to read other people’s emotions and found it very difficult to express my own.
“As a consequence, I would tell my younger self to be more honest with my partners. Tell them what you really think. Occasionally that would come out, but it would come out so badly.”
Chris recently fronted a BBC programme about his diagnosis and what life living with autism can be like.
The star is famed for his work on nature shows
Earth can be streamed now via BBC iPlayer.
