ChuckleVision fans say their ‘childhoods have been ruined’ as VERY rude clip from show resurfaces

CHUCKLEVISION fans have claimed their “childhoods have been ruined” after a very rude joke from a previous episode resurfaced on social media.

Thousands of children across the UK grew up loving CBBC’s flagship show back in the day, with comedy double act Paul and Barry Chuckle leaving kids in stitches.

However, it turns out there are plenty of adult-orientated gags which most of us failed to understand the first time around – until now.

After seeing a newly-uncovered clip from an old episode, viewers have since claimed that their childhoods were nothing but a lie.

Delving into the video, one TikTok user shared the revealing footage which shows brothers Paul and Barry meeting with a leprechaun – but there’s a shocking twist.

In the scene, Barry is completely unable to see the mythical create and bends down to try and get the creature to leave Paul alone so he can complete his work.

He leans down and reaches out his hand, leading Paul to ask: “What are you doing?”

Barry then says he’s “tickling him under the chin” – but there was a crude meaning to it, with younger viewers unlikely to have understood it at the time.

Paul goes on to explain that the creature is actually much taller than he thought, meaning that Barry is, in fact, tickling a very different part of the body.

Barry is immediately horrified by the new information – as were multiple viewers.

One disgruntled fan questioned: “How on earth did they actually get away with that?”

Another simply added: “Childhood ruined.”

ChuckleVision was previously crowned the greatest CBBC series ever in a poll of 3,000 people conducted by the Radio Times, followed by The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Dick and Dom in da Bungalow back in 2020.

The children’s programme, known for Paul and Barry’s slapstick antics and ‘to me, to you’ catchphrase, ran for 21 series and 300 episodes before in ending in 2009.

Barry later passed away from bone cancer aged 73 in August 2018, while Paul’s other brother Jimmy Patton also died the following year in 2019.
