Beloved Actress Shares Warning with Fans
Absolute Fabulous comedy legend Jane Horrocks was rushed to the hospital after a horror fall from her bike. The 59-year-old star, best known for her role as Bubble in the iconic sitcom Absolutely Fabulous, revealed the details of her accident on social media.
Jane took to X, formerly Twitter, to inform her followers about the incident. She wrote, "Just fallen off my bike on black ice in Brighton. In A+E now. It’s crazy busy. I haven’t experienced A+E for a very long time and it’s an eye opener. Be careful cyclists out there."
In a later update, Jane shared the lesson she learned from the accident. She said, "Maybe these accidents occur to say Slow Down. We do so little of that, that sometimes it takes something stronger to enforce rest. I’m grateful for the guidance."
The actress also expressed her gratitude towards two strangers who helped her after the fall, as well as the hospital staff. She said, "A lovely couple helped me when I fell. They got me a cup of tea and brought me home. Thank you to them and the lovely Scottish nurse who put my arm in plaster when all the other ‘plasterers’ had gone home."

Jane received an outpouring of well wishes from her fans after sharing the updates about her accident. One fan commented, "I hope it’s not too serious, sending best wishes," while another added, "Get well soon Jane." Many fans also urged her to stay safe.

Jane Horrocks rose to fame in the early 90s with her role as the ditzy Bubble in Absolutely Fabulous. Since then, she has enjoyed a successful career in both stage and screen. She earned Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for her performance in Little Voice.
In addition to her acting work, Jane is also a talented voice artist. She has lent her voice to 12 animated films, including Arthur Christmas, Christmas Carole: The Movie, and Chicken Run. For a decade, she appeared alongside Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales in advertisements for Tesco.
