Police Probe Threat at Theatre

COPS are investigating a death threat made to Strictly star Amanda Abbington at a theatre in North London. The actress, 50, received an email warning her she would "die on stage" unless she withdrew her bullying complaint against her former dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

Actress Left Terrified

The threat, sent on Friday, prompted immediate action from the venue, Park Theatre, in Finsbury Park, where Amanda is currently performing in a new play. Police interviewed the actress and retrieved IP data linked to the email to identify the sender.

Security Stepped Up

A source revealed that Amanda was left "terrified, shaken, and very disturbed" by the incident. Despite the threats, she remained focused on her performance but was grateful for the swift action taken by the theatre and police. Security at the venue has since been increased.

New Evidence Delays BBC's Decision

BBC had been expected to disclose the outcome of Amanda's bullying complaint last week but has postponed the release due to new evidence submitted. Questions have also been raised about deleted rehearsal room footage and the handling of the investigation.

Allegations of Gaslighting

In light of the situation, Laura Whitmore accused the BBC of "gaslighting" her over her 2016 Strictly Come Dancing experience with Giovanni Pernice. Amanda has accused Pernice of bullying her during her time on the show.
