Leanne Battersby and Nick Tisley’s are pushed further apart this Christmas

Leanne and Oliver’s dad Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) decided to withdraw the toddler’s ventilator because he was in an unresponsive state.

Her heartbreak has put a strain on her relationship with Nick, who she lives with, and things are made ten times worse when his ex Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) turns up at the flat in a panic because their son Sam has gone missing.

The youngster made it clear that he doesn’t want to pack up his bags and move to London with his mum and asks his dad if he can stay with him in Weatherfield.

However Leanne advises Nick that his son should stay with his mum and Nick tells Sam that he has to do what his mother says.

Nick tries to get as much quality time spent with his son before he moves down south and Leanne treats the pair to a tasty Christmas meal.

Things take a turn for the worst when Leanne walks in on Sam playing with some of Oliver’s toys in the living room.

Clearly still mourning over the loss of her son, watching Sam enjoy the finer things in life hit her like a tonne of bricks.

Leanne thinks the best thing for Nick to do is move out and get his own space so that he can enjoy his son’s company without the worry of upsetting her.
