Henry has reappeared on the show with his father Phillip as he considered purchasing the Rovers Return.

He told Gemma that he will talk his dad into buying the Rovers if she accepts a job as his PA.

Gemma was left stunned by his offer and undecided as she is wary of how her husband Chesney Brown will react to the news about working with her ex.

Gemma told Daisy: “But I don’t want to lose my marriage over it, so right now I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

Meanwhile, viewers have noticed a major blunder as Gemma’s lacks the skills and work experience to be a PA.

Taking to Twitter, formally known as X, one viewer said: “Gemma the gobby scrub as a PA??? Just when we thought things couldn’t get more ludicrous.”

Another wrote: “Why would anyone ask motormouth Gemma to be PA?”

A third penned: “Gemma isn’t PA material.”

A fourth tweeted: “If Gemma writes the way she speaks he wont have a business very long. #Corrie.”

With the fate of the pub is Gemma’s hands, what will she decide?

Henry Newton actor George Banks has teased that viewers will see “a bit of a different Henry” this time round.

He told the press: “Before he was a bit younger, he was quite carefree and didn’t really have a lot of responsibility in his life.

“He didn’t necessarily think too much about other people. But I feel despite his faults, he always had a good heart but he was a bit entitled and he was selfish in some respects.

“When he left last time he was beaten up by some folks and they broke some bones, he probably had time to reflect on some of his choices.

“I think the thing now is that he knows deep down that he’s a good person and he doesn’t want to be the person he was.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITX.
