CORONATION Street fans were left in tears after Sam Blakeman’s goodbye speech to his mum Natasha Blakeman.
Viewers have seen Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) get shot by criminal Harvey who thought he shot Leanne out of revenge for teaming up with the police and sending him to prison.
Natasha died in hospital in Monday’s episode after being rushed in for surgery due to internal bleeding which the doctors could not stop.
Her son Sam (Jude Riordan), Nick (Ben Price) and Leanne (Jane Danson) came to terms with her death in Wednesday’s episode.
Nick reminisced about loosing his dad at a young age and questioned whether Sam should see his mum at the undertakers as he requested.
Sam said he needed to see his mum because he kept forgetting she was gone.
At the undertakers, Sam’s speech was heart-wrenching as he said: “Mum, did I tell you that I loved you? Did I say the actual words?
“Did you know anyway? Because I’m scared that you didn’t, and I’m scared that when you used to kiss me with your sticky strawberry lip gloss, I pulled away because I’m not a fan of sticky strawberry lip gloss.

“I’m scared that when you wanted me to dance in the kitchen with you, that I didn’t dance enough. That I should have spun you like you spun me, and I don’t know why I didn’t.
“I’m scared that when you used to come in my bed in the mornings, that I pushed you away, only because your toes are so cold, not because I didn’t love you.
“I love you Mum, I love you but it’s all too late now.”
Fans took to Twitter to share their reaction to the devastating scene.
One said: “This was just so heartbreaking, I was sobbing!! No matter what age you are, losing your mum/dad is one of the worst parts of our lives we have to go through. He’s such a brilliant little actor.”
A second wrote: “Sam’s speech was just something else, I think I heard the whole of the U.K. crying their eyes out!!”
Another penned: “I’d like the writers of the current Sam storyline to pay for my tissues and possibly therapy too cause this crying is something else.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
