CORONATION Street fans were left cringing as Beth Tinker made a VERY cheeky comment about Kirk Sutherland keeping her up all night.
The machinist spilled the beans when she talked about her partner’s Kirk Sutherland’s “little donkey” during the latest episode.
Beth – who is played by Lisa George – wasn’t afraid to share her bedroom antics with her Underworld co-workers.
She moaned to her colleagues that she was unable to get any sleep the night before due to Kirk’s “singing in bed”.
However, viewers were distracted by her comment and convinced that her reference to Kirk’s “little donkey” meant something rather naughty.
One bemused fan wrote: “Haha Kirk’s little donkey!”
Another blushing viewer posted: “Not sure which conjures up the worst image. Being woken by Kirk’s little donkey, or getting pine needles out of Sally’s welcome matt.”
“Beth says kirks got a little donkey,” a third shared.
A fourth added: “Please Beth – we don’t want to know what Kirk gets up to with his little donkey – TMI!”
Beth and Kirk have become one of Corrie’s best-loved comedy duos.
Viewers will be please to know that in the summer Andy signed another 12-month contract to stay in the soap.
And he’s told bosses he’d happily sign on for the rest of his career if he could – because he never wants to quit Weatherfield.
Andy, 40, has now racked up close to 21 years playing Kirk Sutherland and an ITV source told The Celeb Report that he doesn’t plan on moving on soon.
An insider told us: “Andy just loves Corrie. It is in his blood and he never wants to go anywhere else.
“Lots of other actors get itchy feet and want to go on to do other stuff and some think they want to star in ‘higher quality’ telly.
“But for Andrew, there is no higher-quality telly. It’s the nation’s favourite soap – a national institution that’s been on the box for 60 years, so why would he want to go anywhere else?
“He told the execs he’d sign for life if they’d let him!”
And while fan favourite Andy – who earns a six-figure salary – might wish for a football manager-style extended deal, ITV bosses only offer a maximum of a 12-month contract to stars.
Kirk was only supposed to be a temporary addition to the cast, but bosses fell in love with Andy’s portrayal so much they kept him.
The character first joined the soap in October 2000.
