Coronation Street fans notice mistake with prop as former actor reappears

Viewers of Coronation Street were left puzzled when they spotted a major blunder during the latest episode of the popular soap opera. Fans noticed that there was something not quite right with one of the props in the Platt household.

Blunder with Stephen Reid's journal

In Monday's episode, the Platt family was dealing with the aftermath of Stephen Reid's actions. Audrey was fixated on preserving his memory, while the rest of the clan wanted to forget he ever existed. At the center of the conversation was Stephen's prized journal.

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed a glaring error in the scene. The soap's prop team had left a visible photo of the former actor who played Max Turner, despite the character being recast. Max has been a part of the Platt household for nearly 15 years but has been played by two different actors. The photo displayed was of the previous actor, Harry McDermott, instead of the current actor, Paddy Bever.

Fans react to the mistake

Viewers took to social media to express their surprise at the blunder. One fan said, "OMG, you'd think they'd change this if it's a new actor, ridiculous." Another fan commented, "They haven't bothered changing the photos to the new Max." Many fans applauded the keen observation of those who noticed the mistake.
