Coronation Street fans work out who Stephen Reid will kill next – and he’s just like Richard Hillman

VILLAINOUS Stephen Reid looks set to kill once again and Corrie viewers are already convinced they know who is next. 

ITV viewers were left horrified earlier this week when Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) brutally pushed Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) from the balcony of the Underworld factory after he hit his head causing him to fall into the dustbin below.

Stephen was initially shocked to realise he had killed his new nemesis but now Coronation Street viewers are convinced this is not the end and Stephen could now be about to emulate one of the Platt families biggest horrors ever – the murderous streak of Richard Hillman. 

After leaving Leo inside the Underworld bins whilst the police were nearby, Stephen eventually moved Leo from the bin to the back of his van in scenes that closely resembled a chilling horror movie.

With Leo’s time on the street now up at the hands of Stephen, fans are convinced they know who is about to meet their fate at the hands of Stephen next.

Fans have been taking to Digital Spy’s Forum, to share their thoughts with many predicting that it is Stephen’s estranged wife Gabrielle that will suffer next.

One fan of the show speculated saying: “I think it’s pretty much a definite that he’ll kill his ex. Then someone close to Jenny probably Daisy will find out what he did and he’ll kill her.”

A second said: “Gabrielle is likely to be next for sure.”

Another shared: “He will [kill] his wife next. But I’m not sure how. Maybe use another bin and dump her.”

A fourth echoed the similarities to the iconic Richard Hillman story saying: “Definitely his wife. It’s all going to get a bit Richard Hillman!”

Fans of the soap have seen Stephen attempt to steal money from his mother Audrey Roberts, played by Sue Nicholls, via a variety of tactics in an attempt to pay off his ex.

But as Leo began to rumble the plot after catching Stephen out in a number of compromising situations, Stephen didn’t hold back on seeing him off.

As Gabrielle has told Stephen if she doesn’t get her money, she will expose him to his family – Stephen is likely to not take too kindly to the threats. 

Is Stephen set to be the street’s next serial killer or will he crumble under the pressure of his murderous secret?
